So I've decided.

The St Baldricks foundation raises funds for childhood cancer research and they do this by having  shaving events. Our town has done this in years past and I have heard about it and even contemplated being a shavee but always talked myself out or chickened out you might say. Well this year is different I've decided to go for it!! On March 19th I will be shaving my head and my goal is $500 dollars I pray I exceed that since I do not plan on making this an annual event.  My son River is joining me he is going to be 6 on March 3rd his personal goal is $100. He was so excited about that amount you could tell he thought that was a large amount of money. I am looking forward to it but I am not in a hurry. You see I have always been fond of my hair in fact it is my favorite part of me that I have. So this is going to be a sacrifice but it is very much worth it.

I have never been personaly  affected by childhood cancer but I have lost family from Cancer.  As a Mom I don't even want to imagine what it would be like to have a child with Cancer. River spent a few days recently in the hospital once for a concussion Very Scary then about a week later he was there again for pneumonia Very scary again. Those were "curable" I knew he would get better but How about those kids with cancer what do they know do they Know they will get better do they know that things will be OK. I don't know I've never had to deal with it and frankly I don't ever want to but What if? I would want to know that there was someone who cared enough to help even if they don't know me or even have a reason to help. That's why I am doing this because I want those people suffering to know that there is someone who care.

It's just hair it'll grow back
All I ask is that You help too.
Thank you.
I am sure if the kids and families who benefit from the research being  funded could they would thank you too.
